Well little did I know when I chose this song for our blog a couple months ago that it would become a theme song for our life. I do believe that "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" we will find happiness. Thank you so much to all our family and friends that have shown so much love and support. We really appreciate all the help moving and your numerous thoughts and prayers. Mack and I are doing well in California and are adjusting as best as possible considering our situation. We wake up everyday grateful for each other and the chance to live a brand new day! We are excited for all of our new changes (everyone knows how much I hate change). We would like to share a few of our new changes with you!

So we decided to leave a day earlier for California...Probably my first mistake! Before I even get into the story you have to know that Brandon was out of town when all of this occurred... So I took Mack to get his haircut before the big trip. We were trying to leave and I couldn't get the key in the car door. An hour later a locksmith showed up to charge me way too much money to put WD-40 in the hole and tell me the key was worn. So I missed my eyebrow appt. which was very important, and ran out of time to run the rest of our errands. Mack made it on time to Adley's Birthday Party that he was so excited about, Moon Bounce and all. I headed home to start packing...When I went to pick Mack up my car wouldn't start. What? 2 weeks ago I had everything checked out and was good to go...Finally got it started, picked Mack up with Walter, who was in a towel soaking wet and shaking from a bath with the car still running and drove straight to have the Hummer looked at. It was the battery.They had to have some guy drive it over and install it, since I was leaving on a road trip to California in like an hour. My brother Parker met me at the car place stayed there with Mack, while I drove Walter home in his truck to finish packing...Seriously threw my entire closet still on hangers in the car and packed every article of clothing Mack owns, stacked it to the ceiling and slammed the door. The car was working now and we were all in....Me (the driver), Parker (co-pilot), Mack, and Walter. We decided to follow my Cousin Garrett and his Clan down in case we had anymore problems. Well we got to Lindon, Ut about 3 exits from our house when Mack decided to tell me he was so sorry, but had an accident. What kind of accident? You don't have accidents? So we pulled over at Harley Davidson's who I need to apologize to for the poopy underwear that was left in their trash can. Yes, they were his favorite Calvin Klein pair...Got in the car realized it was all over his seat, had to tear the padding off and the poor kid had to ride on a plastic seat the whole way. On the road again, laughing hysterically at the day so far when a sweet voice from the back siad, "Mom when we get to the hotel I need to go to the bathroom again." So we pulled over...it was 12 degrees and Mack was pooping on the side of the road, the worst part of it was we had no wipes. Nothing but a Wendy's bag...We repeated this lovely event 2 more times, 1 time Walter was out on the freeway... before making it to Vegas for the night. Mack was such a trooper and never cried or complained. I taught him that "Poop Happens" and it happens to the best of us and never at the right time...Other words may have been used... We saw the lights.....Vegas here we come. Well we got to the La Quinta @ 11:00pm. There was a guy being arrested out front...no biggy! There were 2 beds and Garrett, Sydney, Tanner, Me, Parker, Mack, and Walter...Needless to say it was a little tight, but we are one happy family so we didn't care. Mack had a long bubble bath and we were all litterally pooped and ready for bed. The kids and Walter had other plans...Tanner and Mack giggled all night, which made Walter bark.Yes in the hotel room, thought they were going to kick us out...Around 1 or 2 we all fell asleep, woke up around 6 am and drove the rest of the way. Yes poop happens...just glad my family was there to share it with me...Major Mackay Moment

Well at least I'm headed back to my home and dragging everyone with me. We are leaving this week for California and not returning until after the New Year! I know we are nuts, but Brandon won't be home much until Christmas...So California here we come!!!

We had a great Thanksgiving week. It started with Mack's Thanksgiving Feast at school. They prepared the First Thanksgiving Meal, but Mack was upset there was no corn. The kids went around the table and said what they were grateful for. Mack said that her was thankful for food. He sure is a great kid. Then we were able to go to The Salt Lake City Rescue Mission to drop of all the coats we collected. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was really glad that we decided to do this little act of giving this year. Mack and I had passed out fliers around the neighborhood and we had a bin on our porch were people could donate. We are so blessed and it was a great experience to be able to bring the coats for Thanksgiving Day. We drove Mack around Pioneer Park to show him all the people that he brought coats for. It was a great experience for our family. Thank you to all that helped us we really helped a lot of people in need. We had Thanksgiving with the Fowers Family and watched football with my cousin Garrett and his family. We are so grateful for our family and all that we have been blessed with. Well if you ask Mack where his Dad is he will tell you.. "Albakerkey and El Paso!" Yep he's been there 9 out the last 10 days... A lot has happened since he's been gone. The washing machine broke, it's Christmas here at the Fowers Home, we got our family room carpets cleaned for free ( only had to endure the dreaded Kirby Boss for 4 hrs.), Walter got a haircut and no longer looks like Walter, and I am now double majoring in Fire Science. Not really, I've just been helping my Brother Parker study a ton. Well anyways, Come Home Dad, We Miss You! XoXo

This Thanksgiving Season is one to give thanks for all that we have been blessed with and to share it with those in need. Our family is collecting gently used coats and delivering them to the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake City on Thanksgiving Day. We would love to have you donate and take part in our efforts to Warm The Hearts of Those In Need. We will have a bin on our porch that you can drop them in or we will be collecting them in our neighborhood on Saturday, November 21st.

We were so excited to have Maga and Grandpa come stay with us this weekend. It was filled with Fowers Fun and lots of events. It started with Mack's school party and performance. Halloween is one of the Fowers favorite times of year . Mack and I have been busy doing everything spooky we can get our hands on and dragging Dad around with us. One of our highlight moments was our Haunted Mansion Gingerbread House....

Pictured here with the proud crafter...The roof kept caving in so I got the genious idea to put a BBQ skewer through it to hold it together and managed to stab myself in the hand and break the roof in half. So Mack being the creative thinker he is, decided that the house caught on fire, so we turned the roof into a graveyeard. So this was his Masterpiece that he decorated all by himself!!!

Mack has been counting down the days until Toy Story came to the Theatres in 3D...The day finally came...Popcorn, Icee Drinks, Cotton Candy, Cokes, 4 trips to the potty! We only made it through Toy Story 1, but it was well worth it. We got to see the trailer for Toy Story 3 where Andy goes to College (Mack is so excited that Andy is going to be with Uncle Parker at College...) We had so much fun that Mack was sick all night from all of the junk he ate!!!!Good Times!!!

Fall Is Here...

We took a short drive up the Canyon today to check out the fall colors. It's not quite in full bloom yet, but things are definitely starting to change! I really have come to appreciate all the changes that come with living here. Seasons do bring a time to reflect and make changes to do better...Mack was so excited, but disappointed there was no snow. I'm sure it will be here in no time!

Mack had Western Day at his school this past week. He was so excited to dress like a real Cowboy. They learned about the Wild West, Cowboys, Roping, and Horses and then put on a huge Western Show for the parents, It was adorable....Mack's class did a song and dance, Mack was fabulous of course. He had so much fun. Then they did a huge line dance followed by petting a real horse, flapjacks, and a Real Live Roping Cowboys. It was a huge deal to say the least. Brandon and I had so much fun laughing at Mack...and all of the kids and their awesome outfits and facial expressions. Mack is a true entertainer. He loved every minute of Western Days and kept saying "Beehaw" all day. We just love our Lil Buckaroo!

Our Night Out With Keith...

For my Birthday and Anniversary gift this year Brandon gave me front row tickets to Keith Urban. Yes the wait from July to September was difficult, but well worth it. We had a magical night. We felt like Rock stars and like we were part of the show. We actually were...When he played "Making Memories of Us" (which happens to be our song)they asked if they could film a shot of Brandon and I kissing for the Jumbo tron. It was amazing... a girl next to us got it all on camera, so hopefully she will pull through and e-mail it to us. We sang, we danced, we had a great time.Brandon gave Keith bones a couple times, I touched his legs, but best of all after the concert when i was yelling, "Keith, I love you...sign my shirt" he held my hand and said, Sweetie I don't have a pen!" Yes is was incredible that he held my hand, but just my luck that I didn't have a stinking pen!!!! Needless to say it was a night to remember....Thanks Babe!!! Brandon and I

Mack's coach was out of town so Brandon volunteered to take over. He did an amazing job.The kids loved him and Mack thought that is was so cool, especially the whistle. He asked to blow it several times during the game. It didn't help Mack focus any better, he was still oblivious to the game and spent most of the time doing somersaults with the girls on the other side of the field. But it was really cute to see them together out on the field. I was so proud of my Boys!!! Proud Moment...

So coach has found a successful way to handle Mack...SHORT spurts of playing time. No doubt the kid loves the game, but he has no attention span. He played great this game... a great throw in, a little dribbling, but best of all had a huge save for the team (must have been the goal coach). Most of all the kid is having a blast!!! Loving It...

Well game 2 and he is still having a blast. His coach not so much...We have the smallest and youngest team in the league and my ADD child doesn't help the situation. He had some great runs with the ball, but spent most of the time picking grass and climbing the fence and goalpost instead of playing. And still managed to get a couple somersaults in!!!It was really funny for everyone else...On the way to the car after the game I started to think to myself maybe he just wasn't ready to play, until he looked up and said, "Man that was a great game". He was right it was... So excited for the big game...

Walter arrived to our house today and we are loving every minute of him. He is a 8 week old Malti -Poo (half Poodle and Maltese). We have been looking for the right one for awhile and we finally found him. We made a list of names and read them to Mack he liked "Walter". So Walter it is!!! He is really sweet and has a great personality. Mack is so excited to have someone to take care of. Welcome Home Walter!!! Walter

So we experienced our 1st Soccer Game...It was hilarious. Brandon and I were so nervous with Mack already playing up a year on a 4-5 year old team, but he fit right in. No goals were scored from the Mackster, but he was definitely the entertainment. He used the old acting factor every time he came close to an opponent and fell to his knees in agony,when he got substituted out he cried that he never got to play, but best of all he did a somersault in the middle of the field during the game. He was really loving it. Mack had some great plays and dribbled the ball down the field. He did awesome for his first game...We were so proud!!! Strutting his stuff...

Our last summer getaway was spent up in Park City with some great friends. First the Nelsons came up...we ate good food, rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster, and hung out with the kids. You live 10 minutes from the mouth of American Fork Canyon and fish on Silver Lake... A quad and a motorcycle are your means of transportation...

You ride shirtless...

Your 3 year old gets a ticket from the Forest Service for wearing the wrong type of helmet...

So you go to Cabela's and purchase him a real motorcyle helmet...

You fish more than 1 day in the week...

Your 3 year old can reel in his own trout...

You swim in a freezin lake...

You actually keep the fish and BBQ them...

And 4 generations fish together... It was so awesome to see Mack fish with my Grandpa Warren, it reminded me so much of when I was a kid. I have so many fun memories of fishing!!!

Needless to say we are REDNECKS!!! We had a great week with my family up the Canyon.

Soccer Season is here and Mack is so excited. To tell you the truth I don't know who is more thrilled him or I. He had his 1st Soccer Camp this past week and really loved it. It was so much fun to watch. And yes I was the only parent there all week to watch my kid...Taking photos, cheering on the side line with Blue Gatorade in hand...I know I'm a little much, but I have been waiting for this day for a long time! He was so excited to have a Coach and to wear all of his gear. He must be my child because he had to have a Soccer Bag to keep all of his things in and has been walking around the house with it on waiting to go to practice. So #1 he would rather showboat during running drills than be the fastest one to the line #2 Need to work on not using our hands #3 Not every turn is "our turn" #4 Learned the kid actually has some skills!!!! So the season starts in a week and we will keep you updated... Mack Man

We took my Mom to the MLS All Star game here in SLC for her Birthday. Mack has started soccer and is really into it and so is my Mom, so it was the perfect night. Mack is so lucky he just really has that "Lucky Factor" that I personally lack. During the game a guy handed him an All Star Jersey and program. He was so excited and so was I when I realized it had a $70.00 price tag. We had awesome seats in front of the Media and were also able to grab a photo with Alexi Lalas. It was a really fun night. June was full of adventure for The Fowers Family. We spent a month in California and Brandon flew in here and there in between working. My brother, Parker graduated from High School and we threw him a huge party, we spent Father's Day weekend at the beach, Mack and his Uncle Parker celebrated their Birthdays, Grandma Peggy took the whole fam to a Pirate Adventure and Dinner (something Mack is still talking about),Grandpa potty trained Mack (don't know how he did it), but most of all we just spent some good quality family time together!!! Living it up!

Mack turned 3 so we threw him a good old backyard Pirate Extravaganza with his little Buddy, Johnny. There was Pirate Booty, Hats, Patches, but most of all Captain Hook. When Brandon came out all of the kids started to cry, but Mack said, "Is that my Dad?". It was great. Thanks Brandon for being such a good sport. We haven't blogged in awhile because we have been having too much fun... Mack had a Pirate Party for his 3rd B-day, Brandon's sister, Karley graduated, we drove to California for my Brother, Parker's High School Graduation and Party, and had a fun-filled Father's Day weekend with beach trips, family pictures, and more Pirate Adventure. Spring Break in CA

Mack and I took some much needed time away from the snow and headed to the beach. Poor Brandon was working at home the whole week and couldn't join us... Sorry Babe, but we had a blast. The weather was incredible we seriously spent everyday in the sun. We went to the beach (a few times), went out on the boat in Long Beach, swam in Auntie and Uncle B's pool, played with the dogs, and spent a relaxing weekend in Palm Springs (Thanks again Dad). It was such a fun week. It was not only nice to be in the sun, it was great to spend time with my Family. I know that I get to enjoy the best of Both worlds living in Utah and frequenting CA so often, but every know and then I get a little homesick and miss my family . So this trip was just what I needed. Thanks for all the fun!

We learned something new this trip. Mack is a great dog-sitter. Auntie Morgs got a new dog "Boss" and Mack wouldn't leave the poor thing alone. He would pick him up and say, "Mom take our picture, he likes me." He told Auntie numerous times,"He's just a baby, you need to be really careful." I kept calling Brandon to inform him how much easier my life would be if Mack had his own dog to take care of. We'll see how convincing I was, his B-day is next month and that is all he wants.

So we started Spring Break this year by Grandpa and Maga coming to our house. It was a little snowing, but I wouldn't expect anything less from good old Utah. Mack finished up his 3 week private swimming lessons, so they couldn't stand to miss that. I am so proud of him he has become an amzing little swimmer. Of course, Grandpa couldn't be here without making it up American Fork Canyon...so we ventured up for a little fishing one day. Yes it was snowing, but that didn't stop them from catching a fish. Mack's first fish by the way!!! We had a great time and hope they visit again soon. Hint.Hint.

Well spring is here and who would of known it...It rained today...of course because it was the day of our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt! We still managed to have fun! We met the Easter Bunny (Mack was a little unsure), scored some candy, and dyed some eggs. And the Bunny is still going to visit our house tonight! Earlier this week Mack was saying that the Easter Bunny was bringing him a new puppy, but as of today he is bring him a car. We'll see...

Annual Tax Trip/ Beach Trip

Thank heavens for our annual tax trip! Just when winter is getting really old we venture out to California to get our taxes done! It's the best....beach, family, and sun. We were able to spend a couple days at the beach with Mack.... his favorite place to be. Shopping, good food, time with Auntie and Uncle B (Mack loves to swim and play Basketball at Auntie's house), G-pa and maga, and Parker time. What more could a little boy ask for? We had a blast and can't wait to go again. If we can survive winter in Utah.......

We had the best Valentine's Week! We started it off by taking Mack to his 1st Jazz game. He had a blast and is still talking about it. Thanks Auntie Morgs and Uncle B! Mack also had a Valentine Party at school so we got crafty and made Valentines for all of his friends. He loves his teacher Mrs . Rachel so we made her kiss cookies, which he was really excited about. Then we went to Monster Jam, I know how romantic. We loved it... It was so much fun and I'm sure the first of many. Mack has lost the camera cord again and so it's been awhile since we have posted. We had a great Holiday Season...and spent 2 weeks in California. Now we are back in business. Mack and I woke up this morning to SNOW! He said there are "Snow Balls " Mama! We had so much fun, we headed out early before school so that we could drive around in the snow. Fourth Of July Fowers Style

Freedom,Family,Friends, and Fun. We kicked off the 4th with The Lehi Rodeo! Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined myself living in a town that hosts its own Rodeo!!! We went with some friends and were amazed at the people watching(I have decided that I have to be a Lehi Rodeo Queen for Halloween next year)! Then Mack attended his first parade and saw his Uncle Hunter play the drums in the school band.Go Hunter! We had a little BBQ Traverse Mountain Style, and had a great Firework Show in front of our house compliments of TNT Fireworks!(Thanks Garrett). We topped off the night with cupcakes and good friends. The Fowers Fam had a great day and we need to thank all of those who fight daily for our freedom in this country!

"Where the boats are big and the girls are pretty,Dad won't you please take me down?" We decided to take a last minute trip and met my family in Lake Havasu for Father's Day weekend. Mack had a blast! He drove the boat with his Grandpa and tubed for the first time. Brandon wake boarded and tubed with Parks and his buddies, and I skied,tubed, but most of all we relaxed in the sun. We had a great time and can't wait to go again!

Saturday morning we drove up to Heber to ride the train with Thomas. It was an eventful day to say the least. So we'll share the G-rated version! We got there and Mack was loving it- except the waiting in line to board part. So Dad took him to the gift shop and outfitted him with a new shirt and hat. Then we boarded the train and Mack got a cool certificate from the conductor. (Brandon thought the guy was too gross to get a pic with). We rolled up the Heber Railway and Back. Then we saw some minature ponies, some old trains, got some cotton candy, and that was it! Probably could of spent all day there, but we did it Fowers Style in an hour. Hope you enjoy our pics!!!
